Multi Lamp Technology
Panasonic Higher end DLP projectors are all equipped with Panasonic unique multi lamps system providing continuous usage, high brightness in a compact body, high reliability and reduced power consumption.
Advantages of the multi-lamp concept:
- Failure safe redundant system, even if a lamp fails the presentation will continue with the remaining lamp(s)
- 24/7 capability with lamp relay mode which allows each lamp the required cool down times
- Reduced power consumption compared to single lamp Xenon projectors of the same brightness
- Lower fuse requirement, e.g. DZ21K can produce 20.000lm with a standard 16 Ampere powerline while same class Xenon products need 32 Ampere special powerline infrastructure
- Multi-lamp systems allow more compact and space saving designs and smaller weight
- Higher flexibility to find the balance between lamp life and brightness.
- Higher lifetime of Ultra High Pressure lamps compared to Xenon lamps
Quad and Dual lamp system
Incredible 20,000 lm* of brightness
Panasonic’s unique quad-lamp system, with its new high-power UHM lamps, has helped to make the body
extremely compact while providing an astounding 20,000 lm* of brightness.
* The PT-DW17K has 17,000 lm of brightness.
PT-DZ21K series projectors are equipped with a quad lamp system.
PT-DZ13K, PT-DZ870, PT-DZ770 series have dual lamp system.
Quad lamp system (PT-DZ21K series)
Low TCO and environmentally friendly design
The PT-DZ21K Series projectors lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) because they have a lamp replacement cycle of up to 2,000 hours*. Their environmentally friendly design also includes a low power consumption of 2,300 W.

Four lamp system enables stable, extended operationThe four-lamp system allows the projector to keep working even if a lamp should fail. The Lamp Relay mode also operates the lamps alternately to enable 24/7 projection. Quad, Triple, Dual and Single Lamp modes can be used.

Dual lamp system
Panasonic's original dual lamp system This system eliminates the interruption if a lamp should fail (in dual-lamp operation mode). The Lamp Relay mode also operates the lamps alternately to enable 24/7 projection.* |

* If the projector is to be operated continuously 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, use the dual-lamp optical system's alternating lamp operation (lamp changer) function. The projector cannot be operated continuously 24 hours a day / 7 days a week in dual-lamp mode. Allow a minimum of two hours per week of non-operation time per lamp if using the dual-lamp mode.
Low TCO and an environmentally friendly design The PT-DZ13K Series projectors lower the total cost of ownership because they have a lamp replacement cycle of up to 2,500 hours.* Their environmentally friendly design also includes a low power consumption of 1,000 W. * When the projector is in landscape orientation. With the LAMP POWER set to HIGH mode. 3,500 hours for the PT-DZ10K with the LAMP POWER set to NORMAL mode. The usage environment affects the lamp replacement cycle. ** NORMAL mode: For the PT-DZ10K only.

Long lamp life contributes to low TCOThe PT-DZ870 Series projectors lower the total cost of ownership because they have a lamp replacement cycle of up to 4,000 hours.* * With the LAMP POWER set to ECO mode in dual lamp operation. The usage environment affects the lamp replacement cycle.
