Making a difference to every image
We want you to capture and deliver the best image possible by helping you to deliver content that might not otherwise be possible – whether you are in the studio, on location or at a live event, we want to support you in being closer to the action than ever before.
Restless innovation and tireless customer service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s developing ground-breaking 4K products (including broadcast quality remote cameras) or furthering our network workflows and AVC-ULTRA family of codecs, building on our solutions is a continuous process. Our ever-growing range of 4K products continues to provide professionals with innovative, reliable and high-quality technology that rewards viewers with the best image quality.
We provide a wide range of technology that can be effortlessly integrated into a variety of broadcast and professional video environments. This includes our VariCam line-up of digital cinematography cameras, our cost-effective studio camera systems for 4K and HD live production, our production switcher solutions and our AVC-ULTRA and P2HD camcorders.
We’re also giving you more freedom to capture content through our comprehensive 4K remote camera solutions. And we’re collaborating with a range of companies that support additional applications that enable you to shoot anywhere, in any conditions. These include KST-Moschkau’s outdoor housing solution for our pan-and-tilt cameras, AR+ and the UR10 robotic arm, Movicom and its custom-made pan-and-tilt head for the AK-UB300, Antelope’s next generation of micro-cameras and Tecnopoint for rail camera systems.
AVC-ULTRA - workflow never worked like this
Our AVC-ULTRA codec family meets all your professional mastering, streaming and archiving needs, with enhanced image quality, audio and bit rates. It also allows significant improvements in cost, speed and mobility for all broadcast and image production applications and frees you to share and acquire content across networks, regardless of time or place.
AVC-intra - twice the compression efficiency of MPEG-2
With its I-Only compression, AVC-Intra produces remarkably stable images that are unaffected by adjacent frames. This allows you the freedom to film in virtually all situations and workflows including flash-filled press conferences, fast-action sports, and music shows with electronic displays. And by selecting the most effective compression techniques in compliance with the H.264 standard, AVC-Intra has doubled the compression ratio of MPEG-2.
The VARICAM series – now you choose when you stop recording
Capable of shooting stunning imagery in both true 4K and High Dynamic Range (HDR) the VariCam series is fast-becoming the industry choice for cinematography, TV production, documentaries and live event production. With dual ISO settings, VariCam means that even in very low-light shooting conditions, you’re free to keep on working.
VariCam 35 and VariCam Pure offer the highest-quality images of the VariCam Series, featuring a dynamic range of 14+ stops of latitude, a wide colour gamut and two native ISO settings of 800 and 5000. The VariCam 35 and the high-speed VariCam HS both feature an innovative, modular design that lets you separate the camera head from the recording module.
Lightweight and compact, VariCam LT offers a single-body design with the same Super-35mm sensor as the VariCam 35, while the VariCam Pure was designed by both Panasonic and Codex to capture the highest quality images in 4K RAW at up to 120fps. All thanks to the same sensor found in the VariCam 35 and VariCam LT, and an industry-standard workflow via Codex’s Production Suite.
Whatever VariCam digital cinema camera you choose, you’ll know you’re using the latest in imaging innovation, with high-quality equipment that sets your creative vision free.
P2HD: HD Video Meets Solid-State Storage
Combining ENG cameras and decks with high-speed, large-capacity, solid-state memory, our P2HD range offers native AVC-ULTRA recording, outstanding reliability, high transfer speeds, excellent rewrite ability, and extended recording times.
Because at Panasonic, we believe the freedom to tell the story comes not only from capturing great content, but having the capacity to store it, manage it and deliver it the way you choose.
